Post: Academy Finance Consultant

Full Time (37 Hours per Week, 52 Weeks per year)

Salary: £28k – £35k Dependent upon experience (L7)

Services4Schools provides professional and high quality business support services enabling schools to operate with excellence and efficiency. S4S is a company based in Wolverhampton formed to provide a range of services including a flexible tailored finance and business support service.

The post advertised plays a key role in ensuring the provision of this highly valued service is able to develop and continue to be successful in meeting the needs of educational establishments.

You will deliver finance and business support to academies. Adhering to the academy financial frameworks, reporting and accounting standards you will provide support and guidance on budget planning and monthly management accounts, statutory returns, VAT, finance software and Audit requirements.

You will need to demonstrate a highly flexible approach to service provision and fully understand the need for exceptionally high standards of customer care. You must have proven experience in financial management, delivering services to Schools/Academies and have the confidence and ability to guide School/Academies on financial matters.

You will be qualified to level 4, ideally in a relevant Accountancy qualification or have sufficient training or experience in Accountancy. You will also commit to undertake the Certificate in Financial Reporting for Academies qualification if not already qualified.

This post would ideally suit someone who works within a Charity, Local Authority or within a school in a finance / audit capacity.

It will be necessary to work outside of normal core hours on occasions and a degree of travel should be expected. You will need a clean driving license and your own vehicle.
